I’ve recently had some conversations with people who are feeling that because they didn’t get integrate social media right away, that they’ve already been left behind.

Good news! This simply isn’t the case.

Studies show that even big businesses aren’t taking full advantage of the opportunities in social media – this gives the rest of the business community a real opportunity.
The community has spoken, it may be time for a renaissance of small and medium businesses. These business are more nimble, and may better be able to take advantage of the “main street” nature of social media. They should be able to better respond and incorporate feedback which is the single most important element in building trust according to the 2012 Trust Barometer Study by Edelman
Social media is more than just a platform. It’s changing our business structures, cultural norms and human communication right before our eyes. This isn’t a trend, it’s a new way of life and business.
Yes, there are some things to learn about social media. The expectations and communication styles are different. People do expect different things from businesses today.

Its OK. You ARE one of today’s businesses. And you can embrace this opportunity.

What are you waiting for? Get started.
